Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is prescribed braces in the episode “Hot Child in the City” to treat her headaches, which make her feel like an unfashionable adolescent once more. Worse: Her braces seem to be outdated; eating caviar is embarrassing; and, worst of all, they interfere with her romantic life when her partner becomes embroiled.

By the way, Cynthia had artificial braces on screen before; they were worn by her character in Let it Ride. When portraying Eleanor Roosevelt in Warm Springs, she also wore dentures.

Cynthia Nixon, 50, a New York native, started acting at age 11. She received an Emmy for her performance as Miranda in the HBO series Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004. She won a Tony for her Broadway performance in Rabbit Hole in 2006. In Terence Davies’s newest movie, A Quiet Passion, currently playing in theatres, she plays Emily Dickinson. Although it is still unknown if Nixon has had dental work done, the misunderstanding is somewhat reasonable. She had to wear braces and dentures when she portrayed different personas. She wore braces for the first time in Let It Ride. She was required to wear dentures in Warm Springs. Miranda had to wear braces even in popular shows in which she starred.

However, those events only occurred in movies. It’s unknown if she has ever had teeth-straightening surgery in the real world. But based on appearances, it appears that she may have never undergone any (dental) treatments at all.

American actress Cynthia Nixon has been in numerous films and television shows. She is best known for playing Miranda Hobbes in the HBO television series Sex and the City. She was born in New York when she was 65 years old, and throughout her career, she has achieved a lot.

She was a candidate for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series PrimeTime Emmy Award in 2004. She is not only an actress but also a liberal activist who supports public education.

She is renowned for supporting LGBT rights and is very forthright about it. She actually met her hubby in 2022 during a protest for LGBT rights. They got engaged in 2009 while attending a same-sex marriage march in New York City.
