Presidents Clinton and Kennedy both spent the holidays in this region with their families, making it a popular vacation destination for politicians and celebrities. A former president hasn’t previously purchased a residence on the island, though.

For seven of the eight years he served as president, the former president and his family spent a portion of every August on the Island.
