The United States is slowly welcoming back coffee competitions. The 2022 US Coffee Championships were held in Boston back in April of this year, and both new participants and those who had previously qualified for the national level of competition way back in late-2019/early-2020 participated. But starting in 2023, all six competitions—Barista, Brewers Cup, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, Latte Art, and Roasters—will have preliminary competitions held across the nation.

And yesterday, the US Coffee Championships revealed the locations and times for every preliminary event scheduled for 2023.

These competitions, which will begin in August of this year, will be the first Preliminary or Qualifying-level competitions the US has hosted in more than two and a half years. Between August 19 and October 30 of this year, a total of 27 competitions, divided across 14 events, will take place in 12 different cities. For each discipline, there are between two and seven competitions: two for CIGS, three for Latte Art, four for Roasters, five for Cup Tasters, six for Brewers Cup, and seven for Barista.
