The Language of Calm: Exploring the Relationship Between Music and Inner Peace- Pranav Singhal

Pranav Singhal Rosh

Emerging vocalist Pranav Singhal is from Manglaur, Uttarakhand. He took part in a lot of singing competitions and carved out a lucrative niche for himself in the movie business. After releasing the single “Khatta Meetha Ishq,” which featured Yash Raj (YR) and Mimoh Chakraborty, he launched his singing career. “Rosh” was his first film. He talked exclusively to Bollywood Town about his early difficulties, his first Bollywood work, his future goals, and more.

How has the journey been thus far as a singer?

In Manglaur, Uttarakhand, is where I was born and raised. I frequently participated in music reality shows like Indian Idol and Voice India Kids as a child and attended auditions. I placed in the top 18 at the voice kids competition for Shekhar Ravjiani, Sr. I began my career by releasing “Khatta Meetha Ishq,” my first single, through Shivan Studio. I made my acting debut in the movie Rosh, singing two singles and one song with Sukriti and Prakriti Kakkar.

How did “Rosh” come to be?

really Jayveer Panghal from Team Rosh first heard me during an event a few years ago, and I’m really appreciative that they offered me this chance and gave me consideration.

Do you believe that Bollywood is giving new talent greater opportunities?

I’m not sure whether I’ve spent enough time or have enough industry knowledge to make a reliable claim, but I figure more people are paying attention to and considering new talent than ever before.

You don’t need an industry godfather if you have talent. Is it?

Definitely. The absence of ties and links in the sector certainly have an impact on how one is viewed and treated there, but my belief is that nothing is impossible with enough effort directed in the proper direction. And I think it’s wonderful that, at such a young age, I was given such wonderful chances that have advanced my development as a vocalist both professionally and emotionally.

What or who inspires you, and why?

As soon as I began to speak, I began to sing. Credit for this should go to my parents, who have always loved singing and encouraged me to pursue this career. I always wanted to be a playback singer because music and singing have always given me a sense of calm and comfort that I don’t think anything else could.

How did you find working with “Rosh” team?

Being a playback singer for “Rosh” was my first acting gig, thus it was an incredible experience. It was both enjoyable and educational. I’m excited to create even more incredible films in the future.

Which music director do you want to collaborate with more?

I personally don’t want to identify with or limit myself to a single genre; instead, I want to try out singing in as many different genres as I can so that I may always provide something fresh to my audience and prevent repetition. I would adore to collaborate with Salim Sulaiman, Shekhar Ravjiani, AR Rahman, and Tanishk Bagchi, to name just a few.

Do you have a list of actors you would like to collaborate with?

I haven’t really given it much thought, but I’d really like to collaborate with Salman, Shahrukh, and Hrithik.

What do you think of nepotism in the movie business?

In my opinion, while having a strong foundation and business connections might help someone receive opportunities and exposure in the beginning, real skill is ultimately what has a lasting impact on the industry and the audience.

The peace and comfort of music are often sought after by individuals seeking solace, relaxation, and emotional well-being. Music has a unique ability to touch our souls and evoke powerful emotions, making it a powerful tool for finding inner peace and tranquility.

One of the primary reasons why music brings peace and comfort is its ability to serve as an emotional outlet. When we listen to music, it resonates with our feelings and experiences, allowing us to connect with the melodies, harmonies, and lyrics on a deep level. Whether we are feeling happy, sad, anxious, or nostalgic, there is a piece of music that can mirror and validate those emotions, providing a sense of understanding and relief. It can be incredibly cathartic to immerse ourselves in the sonic landscape of a song or a composition, allowing it to transport us to a different emotional state and temporarily escape the challenges of daily life.

Moreover, music has a soothing and calming effect on our minds and bodies. Certain musical elements, such as slow tempo, gentle melodies, and soft instrumentation, can induce a state of relaxation and reduce stress. Listening to calm and serene music can slow down our breathing and heart rate, decrease muscle tension, and promote a sense of tranquility. This is why many people turn to music as a form of therapy or self-care, using it to unwind after a long day, meditate, or practice mindfulness.
