His most notable parts were in the films ‘The Break-Up,’ ‘DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story,’ ‘The Internship,’ ‘Wedding Crashers,’ and ‘Four Christmases.’ He has also been on a number of television shows, including ‘True Detective,’ ‘Sex and the City,’ ‘Going to California,’ and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’ Born from a wealthy family, he enjoyed a nice upbringing. However, he yearned for something more and desired to experiment with new things. He took an early interest in the theater. As a student, he had no interest in academics and regarded himself as average. The subsequent opportunity to feature in a ‘Chevrolet’ television ad inspired him to attempt acting. Childhood & Early Life

Vincent Anthony Vaughn was born on March 28, 1970 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Sharon Eileen and Vernon Vaughn. His mother was a real estate agent/stock broker and his father was a salesman. The upbringing of he and his two sisters was comfortable.

In 1988, he graduated from ‘Lake Forest High School’. He formerly competed in sports such as football, baseball, and wrestling. Before graduating from high school, he chose to become an actor due to his early passion in theater.

Career

  • In 1988, he had the opportunity to feature in a Chevrolet television advertisement. This opportunity inspired him to move to Hollywood and become an actor.
  • In 1989, he began his acting career by starring in television shows such as ‘China Beach’ and ’21 Jump Street.’ However, these television assignments did not garner him recognition, and he struggled to find employment.
  • In 1993, he made his film debut as Jamie O’Hare in the sports blockbuster Rudy. On the film’s set, he met Jon Favreau, and the two became close friends.
  • In the 1996 comedy-drama picture Swingers, he co-starred with Jon Favreau as the struggling actor Trent. The picture was well-received by critics but failed commercially.
