His wife Kate; his children, Lucy, Daniel, Joshua, and Zacharias; his parents, David Johnson and Diane Trusdle (Dave); his brothers, Davey (Sandy) and Joey (Marissa); his in-laws, Russ, Linda Bladen, Matthew, and David; and his grandmother, Grace Schoenfeld survive him. He is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members, as well as many close friends and “adopted” family members.

Pastor Danny Johnson (December 26,1982-February 24, 2023) went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 24, leaving us far too soon but enjoying the glory of heaven and the prize of faithfulness.

Danny was born in the city of Columbus, Ohio. He subsequently moved to Bozeman with his family, where he graduated from Bozeman High School. He continued his study at Montana State University, where he earned a degree in history. He spent several years around the world teaching English. During these years, he began to reflect about his life and its significance. Danny enjoyed both traveling and teaching. But one day, on the side of a road in Australia, he discovered there was a God who was more than his expectations or imagination. He recalled the words of forgiveness taught in the Bible. Danny left behind the carefree life of his youth to embark on the adventure that would absorb the rest of his days – a quest to know Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection. He returned to Bozeman to attend Montana Bible College for ministry training. He graduated and started working as a college pastor at Grace Bible Church, his second home.

Danny Johnson Bozeman grew up in Los Angeles, California. Danny was born to a singer father and a dancer mother. His parents met while they were both performing in “The Wiz” as children. Danny is the younger of two sisters, one of whom is also a singer.

Danny began singing and dancing at an early age. He made his stage debut in his sister’s performance of “The Wiz” when he was five years old. He appeared on the television show “Star Search” when he was thirteen. Danny won the show’s junior vocalist competition.

Danny went to the University of Southern California after high school to study music business. He received his diploma in 2006.
