Who Will Win the Upcoming Haryana Elections in 2024?
The AAP’s revamped strategy to realise its national ambition by breaching the BJP stronghold of Gujarat and halt the Narendra Modi juggernaut in the 2024 general election, according to party insiders, includes the Make India No. 1 campaign.
On September 7, the day Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to leave for his party’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra” from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will begin mobilising support for the Aam Aadmi Party’s “Make India No. 1” campaign from Haryana.
Sushil Gupta, a party member in the Rajya Sabha, stated that on September 7, thousands of students from the state’s universities will attend an event in Haryana’s Hisar district where Kejriwal will launch his “national mission” to make India the world’s most populous nation.
The AAP national convenor will speak at a public meeting and take part in a “tiranga yatra” in Adampur the next day, he added.
Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, will also be present, Gupta, the AAP’s representative for Haryana, told reporters.
With an eye on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Kejriwal officially launched his party’s national vision last month with the launch of the “Make India No. 1” campaign, arguing that if the nation is to be developed, it cannot be left in the hands of those who have been in power up to this point.
On August 17, the Delhi chief minister presented a five-point vision for excellent administration at a gathering at the Talkatora stadium in this city and pledged to canvas the entire nation for support.
Kejriwal had referred to it as a “national mission” and urged people to become involved in the effort to realise the nation’s long-held goal of being the finest in the world and appearing on a list of developed nations.
Anurag Dhanda, national advisor for the AAP, stated that Arvind Kejriwal “has initiated the Make India No. 1 initiative and he will take this further, visiting every state and connecting the country in one thread.”
He claimed that as the state chosen by the party for the start of the campaign, the people of Haryana are “extremely thrilled.”
On September 7, according to Gupta, Kejriwal would speak to students and youth in Hisar.
“He will linger on the subject of farmer debt and Haryana’s high jobless rate. He will suggest specific actions to address these issues, “said he.
Gupta called on members of every sphere of society to join the two-day event in Haryana the next week and described the campaign as “apolitical.”
Party sources claim that the “Make India No. 1” campaign is a component of the AAP’s updated plan to realise its national ambition by infiltrating the BJP stronghold of Gujarat, where the Assembly elections are scheduled for later this year, and to defeat the Narendra Modi juggernaut in the general election of 2024.
