Get in Loser, We’re Going Shopping is a memorable quote from the 2004 teen comedy film Mean Girls often used as a caption in photographs of animals in vehicles, in similar vein to the image macro series “There’s No Time to Explain”.

The line is derived from a scene in Mean Girls in which Lindsay Lohan’s character Cady Heron is approached by antagonist Regina George (Rachel McAdams) in a sports convertible car and told to “Get in loser! We’re going to the store.

A snapshot of President Barack Obama with the text “Get in loser / We’re getting healthcare” was uploaded by FunnyJunk user ItsBrianna on May 1st, 2010, and is the oldest image macro with a variation of the slogan.

A Facebook group called “Get in loser, we’re going shopping” was started on November 5th, 2011. On October 29, 2012, Redditor severychick posted a message to the /r/awwsubreddit with the heading “Get in loser, we’re going shopping,” emphasising a picture of two dogs seated in the front seats of a jeep (shown below, left). The post had 150 comments and more than 14,900 up votes before it was archived. On January 18th, 2013, I Can Has Cheezburger published a post titled “Get in, Loser, We’re Going Shopping” that included a picture of a dog operating a toy vehicle. The message received 140 Facebook shares and more than 830 up votes over the course of the following nine months.

Get in loser, we’re going shopping was the title of a post by Redditor almightyderplicious on July 28th, 2013, which went on to receive more than 6,000 up votes and 60 comments over the course of the next two months. The image was re-posted on the amusing website 9gag on July 29.

Barbie dolls are featured in a toy sports car in a parody of the Mean Girls scenario published on September 27th by the Zane and Heath Vine channel.
