Google celebrates its 25th birthday with a throwback doodle

Google is celebrating its 25th birthday by drawing out all the stops.

Google, which was founded in 1998, celebrates its twenty-fifth birthday on Wednesday, and some of its products, including search, hum to search, and translate, will feature Easter eggs to commemorate the occasion.

Simply search, sing, or translate “happy birthday” on Google’s products to locate them. On Wednesday, confetti will fall from the sky and cover Google’s screen.

Google has also created a unique Google Doodle for its birthday, which is a temporary alteration of the search engine’s regular logo for various holidays, events, and to commemorate notable individuals.

The birthday Google Doodle highlights Google’s logo evolution, from the earliest logo to its current incarnation, with a special 25th birthday logo at the very end.

When is Google’s birthday?

Google was founded on September 4, 1998, but the firm began celebrating its anniversary on September 27, 2005, following a statement that it was turning away from how pages it had indexed.

What was the very first Google Doodle?

The first Google Doodle appeared shortly after Google. It was simple – a stick figure over the search engine’s logo in 1998, when co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin went to the Burning figure Festival.

From Valentine’s Day to the anniversary of the ice cream dish in 2011, more than 5,000 different Google Doodles have been made since then. The different Google Doodles are now made by a group of engineers and artists called “doodlers.”
