External insulation is carried out using bitumen-polymer, bitumen-mineral, ethylene and other coatings. Their choice will directly depend on the soil. Internal protection of cast iron or steel pipes is carried out with a cement coating, which is reliable and economical. In addition, cast iron pipes can be coated with petroleum bitumen. Paints and varnishes are also used, which are distinguished by an acceptable cost, and are also easily applied to the surface. The protective coating is applied only after the rust has been removed from the pipe.
